CRC SYNOD AT TRINITY
Trinity Leaves Good Impression
arms opened wide June 11-18 when more than 200 delegates from the United
States and Canada attended Synod 2005, the Christian Reformed Church of
North America's annual denominational meeting.
Pastors, elders, and laypeople
spent the week on campus discussing the state of the denomination, instituting
policies, and establishing guidelines. Synod is the largest gathering of
CRC representatives and usually takes place in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
"This Synod rates in the
top five of all that I've attended," said Peter Borgdorf, the CRCNA's outgoing
executive director of ministries and a participant in 26 previous Synod
conferences. "It was good for us to be on Trinity's campus. We were graciously
received, the facilities are excellent, and the food services were great."
