Trinity students reached into their hearts and wallets to make Christmas special for children who may not otherwise have any gifts under their Christmas trees.

Project Angel Tree, sponsored by Trinity's service committee, prompted students to provide 35 gifts to the Chicago office of World Vision, an international Christian humanitarian organization. For three years, the College has teamed with World Vision to play Secret Santa for inner-city kids.

"Many children were blessed last year by our gifts," said committee member Dana Remington, "and I'm sure that the kids will love their presents this year. A lot of people helped to make someone else's Christmas a little brighter."

Each participant at the College chose a paper ornament from Christmas trees in the campus residence halls and bought a gift for the child whose name was written on the ornament. The presents have been earmarked for third-graders of Paderewski Elementary School on the city's West Side.
