A group of education students welcomed 26 young visitors from Roseland Christian School and Southwest Christian School on December 3 for a pen-pal party, sponsored by the special education department. Since mid-September, Trinity students in Nancy Kwasteniet's special education class have corresponded with the children in grades 3 - 8.

"We usually take 20 minutes a week to write our letters," Kwasteniet said about her class of 25 students. "It's very motivating for us to have this kind of interaction with the kids. It helps my students because they hope to teach children with special needs in the future."

After lunch in the dining hall, the group toured the campus before heading to the gymnasium for games and activities, including making a large mural together for the visiting students to take home. Each guest also
received a souvenir Trinity T-shirt from his or her pen pal.
