Sisters in Unity Worship Through Dance
Sisters in Unity presented their annual dance show in the Ozinga Chapel on November 11. About 100 people attended, experiencing worship in a new and unique way.
Sisters in Unity is a student praise team dedicated to worshipping God through the art of dance. The club organized five years ago to encourage people to see dance as another expression of praise.
“David danced. Miriam danced. We want people to see that dance is worship to God, and we do not do it for show but for ministry,” said Sylvia Turner ’10 of Chicago, Illinois, chair of the club. “We use dance as a tool to get people who are not necessarily expressive in worship to come out of their shell and dance and worship God with us.”
