Trinity and Elim Celebrate Fall

Fall was in the air as the middle school students from Elim Christian School in Palos Heights, Illinois, joined Special Education majors from Trinity’s Student Council for Exceptional Children for their 4th annual Fall Fest.

Elim students decorated both trick or treat bags and pumpkins and then took off to trick or treat around campus. Once their bags were full, they returned to the Grand Lobby for apples and caramel, apple juice, and cookies.

The Council for Exceptional Children hosts three events each year to give Elim students a chance to be involved.

CEC Vice President Stacey Navis ’08 of Waupun, Wisconsin, said, "I really enjoyed taking the students around campus. Their excitement was uncontainable, and they could not wait to get to the next stop. Their joy was contagious.”

The council is currently planning a Christmas party for other Elim students on November 28. That event will be held in conjunction with Chapel. Navis said Trinity students are welcome to join the party!
