2008 Parents' Council Convenes
During Family Weekend, Parents’ Council met to discuss plans for the year, attend the weekend events, and tour the construction sites of the Bootsma Bookstore Café and Art and Communication Center.
Members began the weekend enjoying dinner with their students, as well as President Steve and Dr. Barb Timmermans, and representatives from Development, Admissions, and Marketing and Communications.
“The mission of the Trinity Christian College Parents’ Council,” explained Larryl Humme, vice president for development, “is to serve Trinity parents and families by fostering communication and continuing dialogue among parents, families, and the College and to serve as ambassadors in efforts to promote and support the College and its mission.”
The council provided input about marketing and fundraising and brainstormed about ways they can fulfill their roles as ambassadors of Trinity. The group seeks to be a resource to parents of current and prospective students and their families.
