News Release

In September, Becky Wiltjer '07 began an amazing adventure. She teamed with World Race, a ministry that gives students the opportunity to travel the world, serve God, and find their place in his creation.

Wiltjer, who graduated from Trinity's nursing program last spring, will be traveling with her team to 11 different locations around the globe in 11 months. She began the trip in Thailand and is currently in Cambodia, working at an orphanage in the small village of Bavel. She will spend a month at each location and will have the opportunity to work with local churches and other ministries in each area.

In her blog, Wiltjer writes, "So far we've been teaching a lot of English-basics like colors, numbers, and animals to the younger kids. We've been doing all of this with no translator, a box of crayons, about 30 sheets of computer paper, and a ton of creativity!"

Her team currently needs prayer for protection from malaria and for wisdom in a new and different culture. The orphanage needs prayer for safety and security; the children need prayer for the provision of their daily needs.
