Practicing Compassion-November 13 Workshop
On November 13, Trinity will be hosting a workshop based on the book titled, A Compassionate Journey: Coming Alongside People with Disabilities or Chronic Illnesses by John G. Cook. This book offers insights into the journey of people with a chronic illness or disability, while guiding readers in the practice of compassion.
The workshop is created for pastors, council, care-team members, Stephen Ministers, and anyone involved in congregational care-giving. Reverend Mark Stephenson, director of Disability Concerns ministry for the Christian Reformed Church in North America, will lead.
The workshop will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Ozinga Chapel. The cost is $20 per person or $15 per person with a group of five or more. The first 60 registrants will receive a complimentary copy of the book.
