SALT FOR THE SEASONED CITIZEN

The Senior Academy of Learning at Trinity (SALT) offered four courses in October to folks over 50 looking to expand their knowledge and learn new skills.

Participants:
. examined the principles of major world religions with instructor Dr. Rick Wolf.
. discussed the causes of global warming with Dr. Richard Treptow.
. learned the basics of digital photography for the home computer from Ralph Veldboom.
. increased their strength and stamina through a mild cardiovascular workout with certified fitness instructor Barb Cache.

First-time attendee Michaele Pribyl of Chicago has been very pleased with her SALT experience.

"The World Religion class is excellent," she said. "I'm glad to be gaining more knowledge and understanding about the beliefs and practices of others in light of world events."

This was also Pribyl's first time on Trinity's campus, which has also proven to be a good experience.

"I had heard great things about Trinity from other people. It's a wonderful place, and the students are beautiful."

SALT students also enjoyed a free music series featuring a hymn sing, organ recital, and vocal performances by Trinity students.
