Diephouse Honored After Thirty Years At Trinity

Professor Daniel Diephouse recently celebrated his thirtieth anniversary as an English professor at Trinity Christian College. His journey at Trinity began in January 1971, after completing graduate work at the University of Michigan and a two-year teaching assignment at Grand Rapids Christian High School. He has been molding the young minds of Trinity students ever since.

The College recognized Professor Diephouse, along with other faculty and staff members celebrating service anniversaries, at a special ceremony in the Ozinga Chapel. Former Trinity basketball star, alumnus Darrell Phillips'76, spoke about Dr. Diephouse's impact on his life as a student struggling to find the passion for learning that he needed to continue his education. He credited Professor Diephouse with imparting to him a desire for education and academic success that has sustained him in his own career with the Chicago Public School system.

Also honored for their years of service were Michael Vander Weele (15 years), Debra Veenstra (15 years), Lois Thomson (20 years), Luandra Stokes (10 years), Kenneth Austin (10 years), Ronald Hansum (20 years), Cheryl Anema (10 years), and John Kooyenga (20 years).
