Trinity Business Network Presents Greening Business

The Trinity Business Network presents “Greening Business—It’s Happening” on Thursday, November 6, in the Ozinga Chapel Grand Lobby. A continental breakfast will be served at 7:45 a.m. with the presentation/panel discussion from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Trinity welcomes panel guests:

  • Stuart Dykstra, principal-director of Natural Resources V3 Companies, Ltd.—Dykstra is experienced in hydrogeology, geomorphology, and water resource engineering, as well as management of large surface water, groundwater, and natural areas restoration projects and teams. 
  • Brian Lutey, vice president of Green Building, Ozinga Bros, Inc.—Ozinga Bros is promoting environmentally-friendly FiltercreteTM pervious concrete as a key element in their collection of green building products.
  • Calvin Tigchelaar, president of Resource Management Companies—One of the leading recyclers in the Midwest, Tigchelaar’s company processes and sells recyclable materials directly to mills, manufacturers, or other end users who buy and utilize these materials as feedstock in the manufacture of new products.

Moderator for the event is George Vander Velde, Ph.D., vice president for campus development at Trinity. Vander Velde is responsible for infrastructure development and support, the physical plant functions of maintenance and custodial services, and the information management system. He is the former director of the Illinois Waste Management and Research Center.
