Celebrate the Changing Seasons with Music
Fall Instrumental Concert—Oct. 24
Come and celebrate music from around the world with the Trinity Christian College Wind Ensemble on Friday, October 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ozinga Chapel Auditorium. Admission is free.
The Wind Ensemble will be playing pieces with global flair, including an exciting Latin piece, Celtic Dances, Canzon, and Fugato.
The concert will be directed by Dr. Kenneth Austin, professor of music. Austin is a trumpeter and holds degrees from Hope College, Yale University, and the American Conservatory of Music. He has also performed locally with the New Philharmonic Orchestra and the Southwest Symphony Orchestra. Austin is also the director of Trinity’s Jazz Band and Brass Quintet and teaches music theory and trumpet.
Fall Choral Concert—Oct. 26
Everyone is invited to the Fall Choral Concert, featuring the Campus Choir, Concert Choir, Gospel Choir, and Honor’s Ensemble on Sunday, October 26, at 3:00 p.m. in the Ozinga Chapel Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
Performances will include works by Gabrieli, Bernstein, Praetorius, and Gibbons, as well as folk hymns, gospel selections, and some contemporary anthems.
