Kuyper Lecture Series – Dr. Elaine Storkey -- October 21
Center for Public Justice’s 12th Annual Kuyper Lecture
Saturday, October 21, 2006
7 p.m. Ozinga Chapel
Guest: Dr. Elaine Storkey, Senior Research Fellow, Wycliffe Hall, Oxford
While society is moving toward same-sex marriages, what should be the response of the Christian community? Denominations such as the Christian Reformed Church have for more than 30 years suggested that the Bible prohibits homosexual activity, but commands the church to minister to those who are homosexual. So how then should we care for those who are gay and lesbian? Moreover, how should public policy be shaped in response?
Noted British social thinker and journalist, Dr. Elaine Storkey, will address this subject in her lecture Same-Sex Marriage and Public Policy:What Does Justice Require? Saturday, October 21, at 7 p.m. in the Ozinga Chapel. Dr. Storkey’s address is part of the Center for Public Justice’s annual Kuyper lecture series.
