Students Discover Ways to Get Involved
On Friday, September 4, students, faculty, and staff kicked off the semester with the annual Involvement Fair. The fair is designed to display opportunities--both on and off campus--that students can participate in as part of the Trinity community.
College clubs and committees set up booths to promote their causes and recruit new members. Area banks and churches also participated, giving students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with essential services in the Palos Heights area.
Students, faculty, and staff enjoyed cotton candy and plenty of freebies from the various booths as they learned more about what Trinity has to offer outside of the classroom.
Sam Huenink ’11 of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is vice president of the Student Association and was in charge of organizing the event.
“This is definitely a worthwhile event especially for the freshmen and transfers that haven't yet been able to see what is going on in and around Trinity's campus,” said Huenink. “The surge of desired participation is the type of involvement that Student Association loves to see on campus.”
