TRINITY BUSINESS NETWORK GEARS UP FOR NEXT EVENT
Is there a conflict between God and profit? Where should Christian business leaders weigh in on the issue? You are invited to search for answers to those questions at the next Trinity Business Network (TBN) event at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, in the Ozinga Chapel Grand Lobby.
Bill Pollard, former CEO of Wheaton, Illinois-based ServiceMaster Corporation, will talk about his new book, " Serving Two Masters? Reflections on God and Profit ." The book is a compilation of devotional thoughts that were given at the opening of board meetings at ServiceMaster.
Pollard joined the company in 1977 with a deep personal faith and a desire to honor God in all he did. During his leadership, Fortune magazine recognized ServiceMaster as the No. 1 service company among the Fortune 500. In 2004, Pollard received the Reverend Theodore M. Hesburgh Award for Business Ethics at Notre Dame.
President Steven Timmermans instituted the TBN to provide Christ-centered business learning and service opportunities for graduates and friends of Trinity in the business world.
