Ava Logan Jazzes Up the Stage at Trinity
Trinity’s annual Black and White Dress-up Night of Jazz will once again feature singer Ava Logan on Friday, September 11, in the Ozinga Chapel. The Trinity Jazz Band will open the evening at 7 p.m., followed by Logan’s performance at 7:30 p.m.
The classically trained vocalist has performed jazz, pop, and rhythm and blues in the U.S. and abroad. Logan has also portrayed two of her idols, Ella Fitzgerald and Nancy Wilson, at the Black Ensemble Theater. Read more about her work.
Each year community members, students, and faculty enjoy dressing in black and white evening wear, listening to great jazz music, and mingling over refreshments after the performance. The Night of Jazz is sponsored by Trinity’s Cultural Affairs Committee and the Music Department. The event is free and open to the public.
