The Troll Shows His Patriotism

The Troll joined hundreds of other Palos Heights residents on July 4 to celebrate Independence Day. This year was especially meaningful for Trinity and the city of Palos, as both celebrate their 50th anniversaries in 2009.

Trinity’s beloved mascot was accompanied by Pete Hamstra, vice president of admissions and marketing, who drove one of the College’s hybrid cars; Hamstra’s family, who marched alongside; and Cindy Sorice, custodial manager, who followed in one of the campus “gators.”

Many children, including a local Brownie troop, greeted the Troll with hugs and high-fives.

Trinity participates every year in the parade, enjoying the opportunity to interact with neighbors and celebrate the holiday.
