Guide to the New Online Trinity Events Calendar
What’s happening at Trinity? The College is pleased to announce a new way to find out!
The new online Trinity Events Calendar is designed to provide Web site visitors with a quick snapshot of scheduled events that are of interest to our students and their families, alumni, neighbors, friends of the College, and the Trinity community.
The calendar automatically opens to a view of all posted events. To select a specific category of events, such as Upcoming and Cultural Events or Athletics, use the drop down menu in the “Categories” section of the calendar. There are also easy-to-use options to view events sorted by Month, Week, Day, or a detailed list.
Clicking on an individual event brings up additional information, including contact names and numbers.
What kinds of events are posted?
The categories listed below include examples of events that will typically be posted on the new online calendar:
Upcoming and Cultural Events—A combination of the former “Upcoming Events” and “Cultural Events” online listings, this combined category makes it easy to find scheduled events at the College, such as:
- Art exhibits
- Bootsma Bookstore Café events
- Church Connection Initiative at Trinity (CCIT) conferences and programs
- Diversity Lecture Series events
- Musical performances and concerts
- Trinity plays
- Senior Academy of Learning at Trinity (SALT) courses
- Southwest Symphony Orchestra performances held at Trinity
- Trinity Business Network (TBN) events
- WorldView at Trinity Series events
Academic Calendar—Key dates for the academic year
Admissions—Blueprints, destination Trinity, Parent Visit Days, and Transfer Tuesdays
Adult Studies—Open house information sessions and other special adult studies events
Athletics—Trolls game schedules
Campus Ministries—Chapel schedule and Praise and Worship
Clicking on an individual event brings up additional information, including specific contact names and numbers.
Are all of Trinity’s events listed?
No. This calendar is intended to replace the Upcoming Events and Cultural Events listings currently provided on the Web site and to compile information now available on several different sections of our Web site (e.g., athletics, chapel schedules, adult studies information nights, admissions prospective students events) in an easy-to-use online format. Web visitors can now get information about a wide variety of campus events without having to go to different sections of the Trinity Web site.
What type of events wouldn’t be listed?
Events that wouldn’t necessarily be listed on the calendar would include events primarily intended for internal Trinity audiences, such as “student only” events or faculty meetings.
How often is the information updated?
Information is added on a continuing basis as events are scheduled and details become available.
Please check back often to stay connected!
