Trinity played host to several
budding entrepreneurs who hope to make their mark in the business world.
Students from Harvey and Greenville, Illinois, spent June 12-16 at a pre-college
summit on campus.
"The week went well," said
Felecia Thompson, executive associate to the president for community partnerships.
"They're good-natured children. A lot of fun."
The theme for the week is
"Entrepreneurism: What business would I begin, if I could?" Students learned
the basics of starting a business and listened to successful business leaders.
The Higher Education Cooperation
Act (HECA) helped pay for the summit. HECA grants are designed to promote
effective use of resources among cooperating institutions and help develop
innovative concepts and applications.
