Alumni Golfers Raise Scholarship Funds
This year’s Alumni Golf Outing on June 6 brought out 78 golfers to George Dunne National in Oak Forest, Illinois, and brought in $5,500 for the Alumni Excellence Scholarship.
The proceeds from the outing fund the renewable scholarship, which will provide $1,500 awards for up to four children of alumni.
“This outing always brings out a great group of Trinity alumni and friends,” said Travis Bandstra ’06, director of alumni relations. “Along with a day of fellowship, we are thankful to all of our golfers and corporate sponsors for helping support the alumni scholarship fund.”
The four-person scramble began with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. and ended with a dinner and awards presentation. Two teams tied for first place with a score of 60:
Jeff DeBoer ’01, Brian Eggert, Hank Eisses ’97, and Aaron Ozinga ’03
Justin Kats ’01, Eric Lindemulder ’05, Phil Mulder, and Pete Vander Wall ’01
“It was truly a great day, thanks to the alumni office, the crew at George Dunne, all the friends and alumni, and of course God for providing great weather,” said Vander Wall.
