Since 1997, Felecia Thompson has provided a number of resources to help Trinity students enhance their academic development. Beginning in August, she will spearhead the College's efforts to build community relations.

President Steven Timmermans confirmed Thompson's appointment as director of community partnerships. In that role, she will identify and secure teaching, learning, and service opportunities for Trinity faculty, staff, and students in Chicago and neighboring suburbs.

"After leading the office of academic support and services for seven years, Felecia is ready for this challenge," Timmermans said. "Our search to fill this position revealed that she is the best person to manage this endeavor."

A native of Chicago, Thompson has attained degrees from two institutions in her hometown. She graduated from DePaul University with a bachelor of arts and completed her master's in human services administration at Spertus College. During her tenure as director of academic support and services, she coordinated tutoring sessions, tested students for learning disabilities, and handled legal documentation for Trinity's international students.
