GOLF OUTING DRIVES IN $5,000 - 6/5/06

The 8th Annual Alumni Golf Outing, held on Saturday, June 3, raised over $5,000 for the Alumni Excellence Scholarship fund, which provides several $1,000 renewable scholarships for children of Trinity alumni.

"It was a spectacular day for golf," said Dennis Harms, chairman of the 2006 Alumni Golf Committee. "It's a tough course, but despite the challenge everyone had a good time."

The outing attracted 106 golfers to George W. Dunne National Golf Course in Oak Forest, Illinois. Attendance and profit mirrored last year, when a record 109 golfers generated a profit of $5,000.

Taking first place in the four-man best ball tournament were Bob Schaaf '95, Steve Balkema ex'95, Dean VanderZee '93, and Joe Graffeo '93. Collectively, the winners shot a 59. Scott Morgan '94, Dan Olivier '94, Doug Roozeboom '97, and Brent Mulder '94 finished in second place.

The Alumni Association will be conducting another scholarship drive in June. For more information, visit
