Trinity Hosts Palos Heights Expo

Nearly 2,000 visitors were on campus during the annual Palos Heights Chamber of Commerce Community Expo and Health Fair on May 3.

More than 80 exhibitors—from chiropractors to massage therapists, from law enforcement officers to real estate agents—gathered in the Mitchell Memorial Gymnasium to share information and connect with community members.

“We were happy to host the Expo,” said Trinity president Dr. Steve Timmermans. “Trinity occupies an increasingly important place in our community—a place where neighbors meet and we learn more about all the good our community has to offer."

The Expo also offered free giveaways, free health screenings, and entertainment by T-USA Martial Arts and Operation Getdown DJ. Children enjoyed clowns, a balloon sculptor, face painting, and games.

Runners participating in the inaugural Palos Bank Southwest Half Marathon were on campus, and the highlight of the event was an appearance by American marathon record holder, Khalid Khannouchi, who greeted visitors and signed autographs.
