Education Program Meets State's Accreditation Standards

In early March, the education department hosted an accreditation visit from the Illinois State Board of Education.

Trinity is pleased to convey that the College met all six of the standards for continuing accreditation, and the visit team left with many positive comments about the education program.  The recommendation for continuing accreditation will go to the State Certification Board and will receive a final vote of the State Board of Education in late 2008 or early 2009.

“This affirms the excellent teacher education program Trinity offers,” said Dr. Liz Rudenga, provost. “The fine work of graduates of the program testifies to this, as well.”

The College thanks Dr. David Klanderman, director of education programs, the education unit, and the entire campus for the excellent teacher education program that Trinity offers.
