Trinity Works Alongside Neighbors During LovePalos
Every year students, faculty, and staff put on their LovePalos T-shirts and show their support for the Palos Heights community by working alongside neighbors of the College during the annual LovePalos event, sponsored by Trinity.
The College partnered with the Navajo Hills Homeowners Association for the annual clean-up campaign as teams of volunteers focused their efforts on Navajo Creek, Lake Katherine, and Passarelli Park, clearing debris, planting flowers, and landscaping public property. Work was also done at Rest Haven Central and the Palos pool, as well as on Trinity’s campus.
Ashley R. Leonhardt ’10 of Peotone, Illinois, a student association representative and a resident assistant, worked at Lake Katherine. “LovePalos is a great opportunity to be involved in the Trinity community while helping out the Palos area and showing our appreciation through service.
“Working with fellow students, faculty, and staff is a great way to interact and strengthen our community while staying committed to our mission of doing God's good work. I can’t wait until next year,” she said.
