Foxgrover Performs at Organ Artist Series

The College welcomes Marsha Foxgrover, organist of the Wheaton Bible Church in Wheaton, Illinois, who will perform as part of the Organ Artist Series on Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m. in the Ozinga Chapel Auditorium.

The performance will feature J. S. Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C Major, Maurice Duruflé’s Prelude and Fugue on the Name of ALAIN, and Marcel Dupré’s Variations on a Noël. The recital will also include the Timpanogos Suite, composed for Foxgrover by Crawford Gates and inspired by Mount Timpanogos in the Wasatch range of the Rocky Mountains.

Foxgrover, an instructor of organ at Rockford College and the College of DuPage, will be playing Trinity’s 46-rank pipe organ, designed and built by the Lauck Organ Company of Otsego, Michigan. The grand instrument was a gift to the College in 2003 from Hilda Ozinga of Palos Heights, Illinois, in honor of her late husband, Norman, a supporter and trustee of the College during its formative years.

Following the recital, Marilyn Mulder, Trinity’s retired instructor of organ, will provide a tour and demonstration of the organ for those interested.

The event is open to the public and admission is free.
