WOMEN'S SOCCER ADDS OFFENSIVE PUNCH

Josh Lenarz '98 scored another coup in reinforcing Trinity's women's soccer program when he signed Kelly Heim of Belvidere, Illinois, and Brittany Storkel of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to play for the Trolls beginning this fall.

Heim, a central midfielder for the Belvidere Bucs, has tallied 13 goals and 19 assists heading into her senior season this spring. She is captain of the Bucs and earned first-team all-conference honors in 2003.

"Kelly understands the game very well and has great field vision," Lenarz said. "Her work ethic is first-rate, and she pushes her teammates to increase their level of play. When she visited the College, she fell in love with the campus and the women on the team. Her drive to win will be a big asset to our program."

Storkel plays midfield for the McKeesport Tigers and is the team captain. Coach Lenarz anticipates the three-time Pittsburgh area all-star selection will be a consistent threat to put points on the scoreboard.

"She can create scoring opportunities for her teammates very well and put the ball in goal herself," Lenarz said about Storkel. "She will put pressure on defenders inside the scoring zone, and we want to utilize that ability as much as possible."
