Business on the Other Side of the Globe
Around the world in 10 days? Trekking to the other side of the world is just what a group of Trinity students did over the two-week Interim in January. John Kooyenga ’66, associate professor of business, and Dr. Randall Voorn ’71, professor of business, led a team of students to study, explore, and learn about business in China.
“Our interim to China gave us a chance to get a first-hand look at how businesses are expanding globally throughout the world,” said Jim Stecko ’08 of Mokena, Illinois.
The trip wasn’t strictly business; students also had the opportunity to explore the culture and landscapes of China. Making stops in Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, the group saw everything from the Great Wall to the Terra-Cotta Army, the Jade Buddha Temple to Victoria Peak.
“China was definitely the trip of a lifetime,” Stecko remarked.
