Tricia LeoTRINITY STUDENT BEHIND THE SCENES AT CHICAGO’S 2016 OLYMPIC BID DINNER

Tricia Leo ’07 of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is a Chicago Semester student who is currently interning at ProActive, Inc. As part of her internship, she was given the great opportunity of being closely involved in the planning and production of Chicago’s 2016 Olympic Bid Dinner, held at McCormick Place on
March 1, 2007.

“It was such an honor to be a part of creating, planning, and producing this significant and memorable event for the city of Chicago,” says Leo. “To be involved in countless aspects of the event while helping to make crucial decisions, followed by seeing all of our hard work come to fruition; what a priceless once in a life time learning opportunity.”

Leo began her internship with ProActive, Inc., a strategic communication and events agency, in February, and has since been working exclusively on this event and with the Chicago 2016 Olympic Committee.

By raising $9.4 million through this event, the residents of Chicago demonstrated their deep commitment to the success of the Olympic Bid. The high level of participation also showed the United States Olympic Committee, along with the world, that the city of Chicago is ready to host the athletes of over 200 nations in a celebration of sporting excellence.
