Raising the Praise at Gospel Fest

The 10th annual Gospel Fest on March 1 blessed many with performances by local choirs and Christian entertainers.

The Fest, which is sponsored by the Organization of African American Unity (OAAU) at the College, featured the group God-Stretched with Trinity students Linell Muse ’09 of Homewood, Illinois, and Ch’vez Moore ’11 of Robbins, Illinois.

Also performing were the Trinity Gospel Choir and choirs from Curie Metro High School in Chicago, and Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Illinois.

“God was in the place from praise and worship until God-Stretched closed us out,” said Clifton Hurt ’09 of Chicago, Illinois, chairperson of the event.

Chester Jones ’09 of Oak Brook Terrace, Illinois, is president of the OAAU.
