Celebrating Black History Month through Music

Trinity hosted Celebrating African-American Musical Heritage: A Black History Month Tribute on February 27 in the Ozinga Chapel. The concert featured various performers, including the James Palmore Vocal Chorale and the Trinity Christian College Jazz Band.

The Vocal Chorale was founded in 1979 by Jim Palmore, director of Trinity’s Gospel Choir, with the intent of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in Chicagoland. Using extensive vocal harmonies, reaching at times nine parts, the group’s unique style of ministry has touched the lives of countless people around the city.

Upcoming: The Gospel Choir will perform at Gospel Fest on Saturday, April 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Ozinga Chapel. The event will feature gospel groups from local schools and the community. Admission to the event is free. For more information, call Trinity Christian College at 708.597.3000.
