ShawChicago Theater Company will bring the Chicago theater scene to Trinity for students, friends, and neighbors on Tuesday, March 13. The group will hold a workshop led by Terence Gallagher in the Grand Lobby of Ozinga Chapel at 3:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., ShawChicago will perform a heartwarming collection of love scenes from George Bernard Shaw’s greatest plays, Shaw vs Shakespeare: a Meeting of the Minds, in the Van Namen Recital Hall of the chapel. “Last year, the Trinity community had a very positive response to ShawChicago when they performed here,” said Dr. Sherry Barnes, associate professor of communication arts and chair of the Cultural Affairs Committee. “Classes in oral interpretation, theatre, public speaking and others are being encouraged to attend this year.”

In Shaw vs Shakespeare, the world’s greatest playwrights square off on issues such as war, love, politics, humor, and the battle between the sexes.

Both the performance and workshop are free and open to everyone.
