The 10th annual Gospel Fest will be held at Trinity Christian College on Saturday, March 1, at 6:30 p.m., in the Ozinga Chapel Auditorium.
The Gospel Fest, which is sponsored by the Organization of African American Unity (OAAU) at the College, will feature the group God-Stretched with Trinity student Linell Muse ’09 of Homewood, Illinois and Ch’vez Moore ’11 of Robbins, Illinois. Also performing will be the Trinity Gospel Choir, the St. Xavier Gospel Choir, and choirs from Percy L. Julian High School and Curie Metro High School in Chicago, and Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Homewood-Flossmoor, Illinois. The event will also feature Christian rappers Rapture and MAC.
This will not only be an evening full of music, Trinity’s dance team, Sisters in Unity, will be performing. The Alpha and Omega Step team will be performing as well.
MC of the fest will be Joe Joe the Entertainer, founder of U Got Jokes, a Christian-based entertainment company in Chicago.
Clifton Hurt ’09 of Chicago, Illinois, is chairperson of the event, and Chester Jones ’09 of Oak Brook Terrace, Illinois, is president of the OAAU.
