Urban Issues Symposium Planned

Urban SymposiumThe second urban symposium, Developing Healthy Communities in a Contentious World, has been scheduled. The sociology and art departments at Trinity welcome all to attend.

Date: Monday, March 9
Time: 7 p.m. in the Grand Lobby, Ozinga Chapel

Panelists:

  • Melody Boyd, Ph.D. candidate, department of sociology, Temple University, Philadelphia. Topic: The Development of Healthy Neighborhoods and Communities
  • C. Benet Haller, senior planner in the City of Chicago Department of Zoning and Land Use Planning. Topic: Planning in the City of Chicago
  • Jason Martin, 2002 Trinity alumnus and Ph.D. candidate, department of sociology, Temple University, Philadelphia. Topic: Transformation in the Metropolitan Arts and Culture Sector
  • Elvia Rodriguez, 1993 Trinity alumna, artist, and director of programs at Pros Arts Studio, Chicago. Topic: Community arts programs

The symposium is chaired by Dr. Brad Breems, professor of sociology, Trinity Christian College, and sponsored by the sociology department, art department, and Cultural Affairs Committee at Trinity.

The admission is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
