Trinity Alumnus Wins $50,000 on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"
A Trinity Adult Studies graduate met with success while competing on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” last fall. After several rounds of trivia, Brian Schoby came away from the show with a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a prize of $50,000.
Schoby, of Belleville, Illinois, graduated from the College in December of 2002 with his K-12 grade teaching certificate, specializing in physical education. After completing his degree, he taught in Chicago before moving to Belleville, Illinois. He teaches PE at four schools in the Edwardsville School District in southwestern Illinois and coaches football and track at Edwardsville High School. He also holds a degree in kinesiology from the University of Illinois.
Schoby had auditioned for the show in summer 2007 and was finally invited to appear on the set in September 2008 with the episode airing on WGN in late January 2009.
