Alumni Enjoy Loop Luncheon Event
Eighteen Trinity alumni who work in Chicago met for the annual Loop Luncheon on January 28, joining Travis Bandstra ’06, director of alumni relations, and Larryl Humme, vice president for development, at Houlihan’s on Michigan and Wacker.
“The goal of the alumni office is to continue community after graduation, and bringing together alumni who work in Chicago provides a great way to network professionally and to stay connected with Trinity and other alums,” said Bandstra.
A wide range of professions was represented, as were years of graduation — from 1982 up until just this past May.
Justin Haan ’08, an account coordinator at eshots, attended the event because he was interested in meeting other alumni working in the city.
“I enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones,” said Haan. “It was great to share experiences from my time at Trinity, and I enjoyed hearing stories from people who graduated before me. Also, I am not one to pass on a free lunch!”
Jocelyn Black ’05 also attended in order to reconnect and network.
“It is always fun to see what people end up doing after graduation,” said Black, a press assistant with the governor’s office. “It was also great to once again be in a professional setting where I could relax and freely express and discuss my faith while conversing with others.”
