Social Work Department Hosts Spring Workshops

The Social Work department will be hosting two upcoming workshops.

Networking Event on Restorative Justice will be held Thursday, February 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Grand Lobby of the Ozinga Chapel.

What is Restorative Justice? Restorative justice focuses on repairing the hurt and suffering that is caused by criminal behavior. Speaker Gail Rice will discuss its historical development and explore the faith-based perspective related to the movement.

Refreshments will be available prior to the workshop. One CEU is available for licensed social workers.

Workshop on Safety in Field Education will be held Thursday, April 10, from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Grand Lobby of the Ozinga Chapel.

Rose Malinowski, DrPH, director of field education at Trinity; and Victor Lasko, LPC, supervisor at the Evangelical Child and Family Agency, will help field instructors understand and develop safe environments with students for learning. Join them for this free CEU (3.0) workshop.
