AUTHOR AND SPEAKER COMES HOME TO TRINITY

     Noted author and motivational speaker Kathy Nimmer ’91 will make a special appearance at Trinity Christian College on Friday, February 2, in the Grand Lobby of the Ozinga Chapel. Nimmer will address a chapel service at 10 a.m. on the theme “Walking by Faith, Not by Sight.” The speech details her physical, emotional, and spiritual journey over the years that she gradually lost her sight. Immediately after chapel, Nimmer will sign copies of her book, Minutes in the Dark, Eternity in the Light. The poems walk readers through each thought, emotion, feeling, and reaction to her life’s journey. Nimmer has led an active and adventurous life. Her feats include mountain climbing, distance bicycling, running with the Olympic torch, and touring Russia. Nimmer teaches English and creative writing at William Henry Harrison high school in West Lafayette, Indiana. She graduated from Trinity with a major in English and double minor in special education and communication..
