A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR:

As I look at today's date above, I am struck by the fact that time presses on and it has been over two months now that I have been a part of the alumni office here at Trinity! During my first week on the job, I had the opportunity to spend some time with fellow alumni professionals at a conference and walked away blessed with tremendous insights into the task ahead. During a session for newcomers, a presenter emphasized the power of the personal and how it really sums up the work of alumni relations. And I wholeheartedly believe that it is this power of personal relationships that give strength to the Trinity community.

Recording artist Steve Green was on campus last week for a performance, and, during chapel, he surmised that Christians have become too good at showing customer service rather than true Christian love. We tend to forget about the power of the deep personal relationships and neglect to care for one another through good times and bad. I hope that you will feel the power of the personal emanating from the alumni office here at Trinity, and if you would like to take part or know someone else who might benefit, I would love to hear from you. In the meantime, I leave you with this question: how will you unleash the power of the personal today?

Blessings,

Travis Bandstra
