INAUGURAL JUBILATION! CELEBRATES TRINITY TALENT
Jubilation! is the College’s major fundraising event that offers an evening of fellowship and showcases the talents of Trinity students and alumni. The dinner and program (featuring both student and alumni performers) will be held on Friday, October 1 at the DoubleTree Hotel at 127th and Cicero (formerly the Radisson), with all proceeds earmarked for the Trinity Fund, which supports the annual operating needs of the College. ALUMNI GAMES BRING ATHLETES BACK HOME
October is a month of fun for alumni athletes and Troll sports fanatics. Alumni and friends are invited to a number of alumni games throughout the month. Fans will watch baseball alumni take the field in a doubleheader on Saturday, October 2 at 10 a.m. and then head over to the Cheyenne soccer field for an alumni soccer game at 3 p.m. Current Trolls take the field later in the day—women play at 5 p.m. on the stadium field and men follow at 7:30 p.m. The alumni office will host a “Troll-gating” barbecue from 6-7 p.m. near the concession stand.
LATER IN THE MONTH—On Tuesday, October 12, volleyball alumni will play each other at 5:30 p.m. and men’s and women’s basketball alumni will celebrate Family Weekend on Saturday, October 30, by taking the floor for a game at 7 p.m.
TRINITY FAMILY INVITED TO SPEND THE WEEKEND
Parents, grandparents, and friends of the College are invited to campus for Family Weekend, October 29-31. The event encompasses not only those who have a son, daughter, or grandchild at Trinity, but also members of the Trinity Association—the extended Trinity family. Among the festivities will be a mosaic of musical offerings featuring Trinity’s wind ensemble, gospel choir, and jazz band, which will begin after the annual association meeting at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 29. A choral concert will take place Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Ozinga Chapel.
SHAKIN’ IT UP WITH THE MERRY
Travel downtown with alumni on Saturday, November 13 to see The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater on Navy Pier. Theater-goers will leave from campus by coach and return after the play. On the way to Navy Pier, English professor Mark Jones will provide a play synopsis and context. PUTTS AND PARS EQUAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ATHLETES
On a day custom-made for the great outdoors, 136 of the College’s
friends, alumni, and supporters chased after birdies and pars during the
Trinity Athletics Club Golf Classic August 16 at the Calumet Country Club in
TIMMERMANS ENCOURAGES “BLATANT CIVILITY” FOR NEW ACADEMIC YEAR

WOMEN’S SOCCER STUMBLES AGAINST
The women’s soccer team used the final minutes of the game to get
a 5-3 victory over Huntington College (IN) over the weekend. They did not start
their week as they had hoped, however, and came up short against Taylor
University (IN). An early first half goal made the difference as the Trolls
lost 1-0 in this non-conference game. The team is now 2-5 for the season. They

CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT NORTH PARK MEET
In their second meet of the season the Trolls competed in the Ted
Hedstrand Cross Country Invitational hosted by
MEN’S SOCCER CANNOT FIND WIN IN
The Trolls were looking to improve on their 1-1 record as they traveled
to play in a classic tournament at Northwestern College (IA). However they came
home with two losses from the event. On the first day they fell victim to the
host school, 4-2, and on the second day they were shutout by Dordt College
(IA), 4-0. The team is now 1-3 for the season as they head into their
conference play. They take on
VOLLEYBALL IN MADONNA TOURNAMENT
The volleyball repeats its 1-3 tournament record as they picked up one
match win in a tournament at Madonna University (MI). For the third weekend in
a row the Trolls have played in tournaments and came home with a 1-3 record.
With the weekend results the team is now 4-10 for the season. They take on the Illinois
Institute of Technology (
