film, word and music will be hosted on our campus this fall
and will feature presentations that illustrate God's

The first Worldview series event will feature the
Watoto Children's Choir as they present their Concert of Hope
on Wednesday, September 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ozinga Chapel.
This inspiring group of Ugandan orphans, ages 2 through 12,
are some of the 880,000 children who have lost parents to the
AIDS epidemic ravaging their country. Admission is free. For

JONI EARECKSON TADA COMING TO
Trinity will welcome Joni Eareckson Tada,
founder and CEO of Joni and Friends, to campus on September
28-29 for her Disability Ministry Summit, co-hosted by the
College's Church Connection Initiative and the Alexander
DeJong Center for Special Education. Church staff, ministry
leaders, workers in disability-related fields, caregivers and
persons with a disability are encouraged to come hear keynote
speakers Tada and Nick Vujicic, founder and CEO of Life

ON ALUMNI ATHLETES AT THE FALL ALUMNI ATHLETICS GAMES
fall alumni athletics games are spread out over a couple dates
this year so come out and cheer on our alumni athletes as much
as you can! The alumni softball and baseball games are on
Saturday, September 29. The day will begin with baseball
alumni taking the field at 11 a.m. and the second game will
take place after lunch. The alumni softball game will be after
the current softball team plays in the afternoon.
soccer alumni will take the field on Saturday, October 13.
Plan on spending the afternoon and evening on campus for
alumni athletics games, current student games, and a free
"Troll-gating" barbecue. The schedule for the day is: Women's
Alumni Soccer game--alumni vs. JV team, 1 p.m.; Men's Alumni
Soccer game--alumni vs. alumni, 3 p.m.; Troll-gating at the
stadium field--FREE barbecue from the alumni office, 5-7:30

TAC GOLF OUTING RESCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 1
annual TAC Golf Outing has been rescheduled for Monday,
October 1. The event, which was postponed because of heavy
rains in the area, will still be held at the Calumet Country
Club in Homewood, Illinois. The starting times will be moved
up an hour from the original schedule, with lunch beginning at
11 a.m. and the shot-gun start at 12 p.m. All those registered
for the event will receive additional information through the

BOONSTRA TO DEMONSTRATE WATERCOLOR PAINTING
Artist and Trinity alumna Marlene Boonstra '82
invites art admirers and fellow artists to a demonstration of
watercolor techniques on Saturday, October 27 from 9 to 10:30
a.m. (Campus location to be announced.) Boonstra recently
donated her artwork for auction this October to raise funds

VOLLEYBALL BEGINS SEASON WITH TOURNAMENT
volleyball season opened in a tournament at St. Ambrose
University (IA) on September 1. The Trolls faced four
opponents in the two-day event and came away with a 1-3
record. The win came in their final match on
CROSS COUNTRY OPENS SEASON AT ELMHURST
women's and men's cross country teams made their first
appearance of the 2007 season at the Earlybird Invitational
hosted by Elmhurst College (IL) on Saturday. Both teams had a
top ten finisher as junior Andy Jellema took fourth place for
the men and freshman Jessica Jager finished in sixth for the

winning the shot count, the Trolls could not get by Taylor
University (IN) last Saturday. The team fell behind early and
trailed throughout the game that ended in a 2-0 loss. It is
the third straight loss after the season opening victory.
WOMEN'S SOCCER IN PRESEASON TOP 25
soccer team received national recognition as one of the top 25
NAIA teams. In the preseason national ratings, the Trolls
received a No. 24 ranking.
WOMEN'S SOCCER SHUTOUTS
In their home debut the women's soccer team took
care of Taylor University in a 5-0 victory over the weekend.
The Trolls took control of the game early, dominating play and
holding Taylor without a shot. The team is now 3-1 for their
