It's time for the Trinity Christian College fall alumni weekend! The alumni board of directors will conduct the annual alumni association meeting in the Board Room at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, September 29 and immediately after the association meeting, the board will convene. Both meetings are open to all alumni.


The action begins on Saturday, September 30, so plan on coming to campus for alumni athletics games in four different sports and a free "Troll-gating" barbecue. Everyone is invited; bring your family and friends to come out and cheer on the Trolls. See our Web site at for the entire schedule.

Wear your Trinity blue when Trinity's men's basketball team plays Calvin College at the United Center in Chicago on Friday, December 15. The teams will face off at 3 p.m. before the Chicago Bulls home game against the Milwaukee Bucks at 7:30 p.m. If you purchase tickets for the Trinity-Calvin game, you will also be admitted to the Bull-Bucks contest. Tickets are limited and can be purchased for $30 and $45 by calling the Trinity athletics department at 708.239.4779.




After a tasty lunch, hours of golf, refreshing hors d'oeuvres, and a reception ceremony, it became clear that the 2006 Trinity Athletic Club's (TAC) annual golf outing was another huge success. Read more and see photos on our Web site at

Do you know a Trinity alum who is really making a difference in the world? The alumni board wants your input for the 2006 Alumnus/a of the Year. Nominees should be making or have made significant contributions to their fields of endeavors (which may benefit other Trinity alumni); be recognized by their associates for outstanding achievements; and manifest a Christian commitment that reflects honor on Trinity Christian College.


Is there a Trinity faculty or staff member who has influenced your life? In addition to this award, the board also annually recognizes three current and former faculty and staff members who have made an impact on Trinity alumni with the Honorary Alumni Award. In the past, the alumni board has nominated the award recipients, but this year they are requesting nominations from the alumni association.


Nominations for both awards should be submitted before Friday, October 20. Forward the names and reasons why you believe your nominees meet the criteria to .



Web Manager
Trinity Christian College
is seeking a full-time web manager to develop, organize, and maintain the College web site. Candidates should have knowledge of building multimedia enhanced and dynamic web sites. A bachelor's degree is required along with experience in web design, web programming and development, and knowledge of information systems. Additional qualifications include a sincere allegiance to the mission of the college; personal faith and commitment to Jesus Christ; excellent communication and organizational skills.



Trinity Christian College anticipates an opening for a full-time campus visit coordinator to participate in all aspects of planning student visits. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling visit days as well as effective communication of the mission of the College to prospective students, parents, counselors, pastors, and others. Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work closely with the admissions office and be able to convey accurate information to prospective students.

Women's Soccer Ranked in Preseason Polls 

The strong record and impressive post-season run of the 2005 women's soccer team caught the attention of the raters as the NAIA national preseason rankings were released this week. The Trolls, who finished 21-5-3 overall last season, were ranked No. 22 in the country in those preseason ratings. 


Women's Soccer With Strong Start

It appears as if the women's soccer team is picking up right where they left off last season as they cruised to victory in their season opener last Thursday. The Trolls dominated play and took a 7-1 victory over Huntington University (IN). The team controlled the game from the start, scoring four goals in the first 15 minutes of the game. Overall they had 35 shots for the game and held Huntington to just six. On Saturday, they continued their winning start as they posted a 4-2 win over Grace College (IN). The Trolls were ahead 1-0 at the half and controlled play in the second period for the win. They are now 2-0 for the season.   


Men's Soccer Defeats Grace College

After winning their season home opener against Huntington College last Thursday, the men's soccer team kept their record unblemished with another victory on Saturday. This second win of the season was as 4-1 game over Grace College (IN). The team was ahead 2-1 after the first period, but pulled away in the second half with two more goals. The Trolls are now 2-0 for the season. 


Volleyball Opens in Embry-Riddle Tournament

The Trolls opened their season in a tournament at Embry-Riddle University (AZ). The team played in five matches in the two-day event and came away with one match victory. They split results with the host school, lost two matches to St. Ambrose University (IA), and lost one match to Phoenix College, a junior college.
