“Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5:1-4 NIV

CALLING ALL THESPIANS TO THE STAGE

Do you miss the spotlight? Want to do that song and dance number one more time? Trinity is looking for you! Sky Masterson, Sarah Brown, Nathan Detroit, and Adelaide will sing and dance their way into your hearts in Trinity’s version of Guys and Dolls. Memorable songs from this classic musical include: “A Bushel and a Peck,” “Adelaide’s Lament,” “I’ve Never Been in Love Before,” “Luck be a Lady,” and “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat.”

The cast will consist of 8-12 men and women; both alumni and students are encouraged to audition. All vocal parts are represented and both large and small roles are available. The musical will be performed the first weekend in October; auditions will be held in late August or early September and will consist of singing, acting, and movement. Come prepared to sing 16 bars of your favorite Broadway show tune (except from Guys and Dolls and Cats, please). Rehearsals will take place one evening a week and on Saturdays during September. PROFILES

NANCY KWASTENIET—ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF EDUCATION

Nancy Kwasteniet is convinced that she has an edge on the rest of Trinity’s faculty. “I tease my colleagues and tell them that I have the number one job on campus. There’s something gratifying about working with young people who feel called to teach children with special needs. It’s not considered glamorous by society, but these future teachers are motivated to be involved and make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.” Read more at: http://tcc.trnty.edu/faculty/kwasteniet/index.html
