SWING ON OUT TO CHESTERTON THIS SATURDAY

The Alumni Golf Outing is this Saturday, June 12! We still have room for a couple of foursomes, twosomes, or individual golfers. This year's format will look a little different, offering both the traditional four-person scramble and also a two-person scramble (two flights). The alumni office will also be offering an incentive to make this the largest outing to date: first-time alumni players may take $5 off their registration. If you are a returning player signing up a new alum, take $5 off your and your guest's registration. Questions? ORGANIST DIANE BISH ROCKS THE HOUSE

Do you love organ music? Diane Bish, first lady of the organ, will be in concert at the Ozinga Chapel on Thursday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m. Best known for her international television series, The Joy of Music, Miss Bish has been awarded the National Citation by the National Federation of Music Clubs of America. All seats reserved; tickets are still available for $12 and $15 in advance and may be purchased by calling 708.597.3000.

 

ALUMNI HALL OPENS AMIDST PRAISE AND WORSHIP

Completion of Alumni Hall is set for the beginning of July. We will celebrate God's faithfulness with an open house on Friday, July 9 to allow alumni and friends a look at the building before the students return for the school year. Opening ceremonies and a ribbon cutting will begin in the main entrance of the building at 7:30 p.m., followed by an Alumni Praise and Worship in the Commons at 8:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served; all are welcome.

 

WEST MICHIGAN WHITECAPS WELCOME TRINITY ALUMNI

The alumni office will be hosting an outing for West Michigan alums to Fifth Third Ballpark in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Friday, July 16. The Whitecaps take on the Kane County Cougars at 7 p.m. Bring a friend or the entire family. FRESNO TRIO COMPLETES SOCCER RECRUITING CLASS

Completing what he calls a "strong recruiting class," coach Josh Lenarz '98 added a trio of West Coast players to the women's soccer team whom he believes will help the Trolls become even more formidable on the field. YONKER AWARD RECIPIENTS FOSTER CAMPUS DIVERSITY 

Kim Ritzema '04 and Sittivanh Manivong '04 were pioneers of diversity among Trinity's student body throughout their four years together, and the College recognized their efforts by bestowing them with the Catherine Yonker Memorial Award this year. FAMILY WEEKEND SET FOR OCTOBER 29 - 31

The College has designated the last weekend in October as Family Weekend for grandparents, parents, and siblings of current students to gather on campus for a variety of activities. Festivities will showcase the talents of our students, and give families an opportunity to enjoy the Trinity experience. This event, which will replace The Gathering, is designed to meet the needs of the community more effectively in providing extended time for fellowship.

CALLING ALL THESPIANS TO THE STAGE

Do you miss the spotlight? Want to do that song and dance number one more time? JOB OPENINGS

COORDINATOR OF ACADEMIC SUPPORT AND SERVICES NEEDED

Trinity Christian College is seeking a Coordinator of Academic Support and Services. This is a 10 month assignment from August 1 through May 31, with an additional two weeks scheduled each summer. A Master's degree is preferred;, however, candidates with a Bachelor's degree and related experience will be considered.

 

SECURITY STAFF LOOKS FOR ADDITIONAL OFFICER

Trinity Christian College is seeking a full-time security officer to perform security and safety functions. Initial assignment will be the midnight shift however; other hours may be assigned as operational needs dictate. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be supportive of the mission of the College. Some law enforcement or security experience is preferred.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS

ANNUAL SPRING DRIVE SURPASSES GOAL OF $120,000

The annual spring drive was completed on Thursday, May 6, and the 13 student callers raised over $124,000 in cash and pledges. The students' efforts were bolstered by an alum who agreed to match any new or increased giving by fellow alums or a parent of an alum.  If you have any questions about the spring drive, are interested in making a commitment, or would like to find out how the matching gift can apply to you, please contact dustin.vanzuiden@trnty.edu.

 

Trinity's fiscal year comes to a close on June 30. The Trinity Fund office has sent out a year end letter, which will ask you to help us reach this year's annual fund goal of $1.413 million; we have received $1.2 million to date.

SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS

Trinity Christian College offers camps for three activities that will emphasize fun and stress fundamentals. Campers will receive personal instruction from Trinity coaches and student-athletes that will help them become better players and teammates. Whether it's hitting the home run, making the big shot, or running that extra mile, Trinity's summer camps will challenge athletes to maximize their talent.
