Professor and Alumna Win Awards, Collaborate on Project
Trinity social work professor Dr. Mackenzi Huyser '97 and Laura Zumdahl '02 recently collaborated on a project that will give Huyser's students experiential learning and Zumdahl valuable information to better serve her clients.

Trinity Receives Recognition for Stewardship Initiatives
Trinity has been recognized for taking several steps toward becoming an even better environmental steward while providing opportunities for student involvement and education.


Founder's Scholarship Recipients Announced 
Aletta Huisman from Hudsonville, MI and Jacob Maatman from Lynwood, IL have been awarded the renewable full-tuition Founders Scholarship.


Founder's Scholarship Weekend 2010 
Thirty-two top high school students and their parents attended a banquet at Ozinga Chapel on Thursday, February 4. This was the start of Founder's weekend which continued with students interviewing and participating in campus life as they vie for a full tuition scholarship.


Restoration Ministries: Building Forever Relationships
This January, students from Trinity spent their two week interim at the Tabitha and Harvey houses in Harvey, IL.  They worked with recovering drug and alcohol addicts and served the children and elderly in the community.

Award-Winning Teacher and Author to Speak at Trinity
Brad Cohen grew up with Tourette Syndrome and suffered abuse form his teachers. Thus he was determined to become the "teacher he never had." Through his presentation on March 2, he will talk about his determination how, despite obstacles, everyone can make a difference one day at a time. For more, visit our website.

  Artist's Reception

On March 4, the Seerveld Gallery exhibit Faces of Dignity opens with an artist's reception at 6 p.m. for Jeff DeKock.  DeKock is a former faculty member who will be sharing his recent photo book including photos from over two dozen countries. For more, visit our website.

Guest Piano Recital

The Music Department invites you to the final concert in this year's Artist Series, featuring pianist Samuel Hsu.  Dr. Hsu is a Distinguished Professor of Music at Philadelphia Biblical University.  He is performing this all-Chopin recital in venues throughout the country in honor of the 200th anniversary of Chopin's birth.  The recital will take place on Sunday, March 7 at 3:00 p.m. in the Ozinga Chapel Auditorium.

Men's Basketball Advances in Conference Tournament 
A 77-72 victory over TIU (Deerfield, IL) was the third time this season the Trolls (12-17) have defeated the Trojans and moves them into the semifinal round of the tournament.


Women's Basketball Season Ends in Conference Tournament
After falling behind in the first period the No. 6 Trolls outscored No. 3 Purdue University-Calumet (Hammond, IN) in the second period only to come up six points shy, 71-77, of the victory. The Trolls concluded their season with a final 6-24 record.


Women's Forward Earns CCAC Player of the Week Honors  
Junior forward Christine Iwema (Oak Lawn, IL) earned CCAC Player of the Week honors for February 1-6 after averaging 15.5 points and shooting an impressive 70.6 percent during two Trolls victories.


Track & Field Team at NCCAA Championships 
Select members of the track and field teams had a good day at the NCCAA Indoor Championships hosted by Cedarville University (OH).
