A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR:

This past week, I had the opportunity to hear from Paul Young, the author of the surprise bestseller, "The Shack," when he spoke at Trinity and talked about the implausible, God-inspired journey of his book from its inception as a long story written to his family to a best-seller that has sold millions of copies in multiple languages around the world. He stressed the importance of unity among believers and brought encouragement to break down the barriers that are often mounted between believers and non-believers, between denominations, and between people of different backgrounds.

As part of unity theme, he used the below verse from John, which details Christ's prayer for all believers. I hope it can be of meaning to you in the coming weeks.

"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world."

John 17:20-24 (NIV)
