Dinner & Hoops Draw Alumni to Campus
On January 30th, more than one hundred alumni met on campus for the first annual Dinner and Hoops event.  The day started off with a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, included the Trolls afternoon double header, and ended with dinner at Sam MacGuire's.

 

Trinity Alumnus Reaches Out to Haiti
Trinity graduate and Haitian native Jean-Raymond Desruisseaux Jr. organized a fundraiser that helped raise over $5,000 for Haiti relief.

 

Snapshot of Interim 2010
Check out the opportunities students had to travel, serve, and explore other cultures during this year's Interim.  It is an awesome way to learn outside the classroom in new and diverse ways.

Trinity Community Raises Support for Haiti
Nearly 300 people attended a Haitian Relief Benefit Concert on campus February 5 that raised over $5,600 for relief efforts.

Trinity Student Named CRWRC Youth Board Member
Melissa Voss is one of two students that have been asked to serve as the youth board member for the CRWRC.  She is excited to help find ways to get her generation involved and excited about reaching out to those in need.
 

 

Professor Helps Outside the Classroom
Dr. Tom Roose, current associate professor of physics and science education here at Trinity, has committed to giving one Saturday each month to help students from under-served high schools. 

    

Ministering in Costa Rica
men's and women's soccer teams spent their Interim in Costa Rice ministering to the people through soccer.  They competed with local teams, ran soccer clinics for the orphans, and grew together through daily devotions.  
 

   

Student Blogs Launched
Students have recently started a blog about their lives here at Trinity.

How to Tell a Good Story?
Storyteller Dan Keding came to campus February 2, providing an afternoon workshop and evening performance that were both exciting and informative.

Choir
Feb. 12
 

St. Olaf's Choir is coming to Trinity Friday, February 12.  They are an internationally recognized College Choir from Northfield, Minnesota, and will be performing both secular and sacred choral works. For more information visit our website.

Guest Piano Recital

The Music Department invites you to the final concert in this year's Artist Series, featuring pianist Samuel Hsu.  Dr. Hsu is a Distinguished Professor of Music at Philadelphia Biblical University.  He is performing this all-Chopin recital in venues throughout the country in honor of the 200th anniversary of Chopin's birth.  The recital will take place on Sunday, March 7 at 3:00 p.m. in the Ozinga Chapel Auditorium. 

 Grandparents

CCAC Fall All-Academic Teams Announced
Congratulations to our fall sports teams for having the most recognized student-athletes within the conference! Twenty-three of the 119 recipients were from Trinity.

 

Buren Named CCAC Player of the Week
Matt Buren, a sophomore forward, was named Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the men's Division II basketball based on his game performance during the weeks of January 25-30.

 

Track & Field Begins Indoor Season
The 2010 Track and Field team opened their season with a good showing at the Tadd Metzger Invitational hosted by Carthage College and even had one player break a school record.
